The domain owner (also known as the Registrant or Registrant) is the individual, company, or other entity to whom the domain is registered with the Registry (depending on the TLD chosen). Every domain refers to its own entity (Registry) coordinated by ICANN through a contract (RAA, Registrar Accreditation Agreement). Among the regulations to be respected there is also the insertion of truthful and updated data relating to the domain holder.
In this regard, if you register, transfer or update a gTLD domain (.com, .net, .org, etc.), you will receive an email to be confirmed by the Registry (the RAA Verification) to the email address of the Registrant, in order to verify the correctness and validity of the data of the domain holder.
It will be enough to check the data of the domain holder by clicking on the verification link in order to complete the RAA procedure. In case of failure to verify on your part, ICANN will suspend the domain.
